Found a Multitouchish Situation in a mall

Tonight I was at the Manchester Mall (Manchester, New Hampshire) and ran into a neat little multitouch kinda thing.  Basically, it was a bunch of mini-games that passerbyers can play.  Like air hockey, break the glass, kill some monkeys, and a few other little things.  They show advertisements as well as mall related things.  Either way, it’s neat, and here’s some pictures of the setup.

Here’s the projector, camera, and ir emitter.

Here’s the projection surface with the ice game on it:

I called it multitouchish because it definately uses IR to figure out what is going on on the projection surface.  The surface is white, and it must reflect the IR or illuminate the board where people stand.  It seems like quite the set up, and attracted about a dozen or so while I was there, and I walked by twice for under a minute each.

First Post

Welcome,
Just starting out on my works with multitouch.  I’m looking at a few months of development on making the box, then quite a while coding on it.  So far I picked up the wrong thickness Acrylic from Home Depot, but no worries!! I’ll be going back with my reciept to get the right one sometime next week.  Also, I’m saving up money to get the rest of my components together.
I’ll be keeping this updated as things progress.
